This two-day virtual intense Outcome a nd Assessment Information Set (OASIS) class will cover history of the OASIS , use of the OASIS guidance manual, general conventions, conventions specif ic to ADL/IADL items, new OASIS-E items, and updates to the OASIS instrumen t. Education will be provided on each section of the OASIS and timepoints, OASIS item specific guidance, rules for completion of the OASIS and transmi ssion, use of OASIS data to track patient outcomes, relationship of OASIS t o the comprehensive assessment, and review of static and quarterly Q&As . Tips for assessment and real-life scenarios will be presented for increas ed understanding. This class is intended for a variety of learners to inclu de anyone who: completes the OASIS assessment as part of their practice, pe rforms Quality Assurance (QA) audits, performs patient assessments, and col laborates with others, or seeks OASIS certification.
Learning Outcome:
The learning outcome for this educational activity is to enhance the knowle
dge of the home health registered nurse and other agency personnel/clinicia
ns in the importance of OASIS scoring. This course explores the history of
