New Direct Care Workforce Stabilization Board Holds First Meeting

The Direct Care Workforce Stabilization Board, created last year by the Colorado Legislature to recommend policy changes for direct care employment standards – such as compensation and working hours – met for the first time Monday, Nov. 13, 2023. This was largely an organizational meeting for the 15-member board, which includes a representative from the Home Care and Hospice Association of Colorado (HHAC), Eliza Schultz.

Board Members Selected for the Direct Care Workforce Stabilization Board

Board members have been selected for the newly created Direct Care Workforce Stabilization Board established under Senate Bill 23-261

The 15-member board includes 12 members who represent employers, employees and consumers, and three members from the following state departments: Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE), Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF) and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE).
